The system allows the sender and recipient to track the arrival of the delivery using a photo; the feature is available for specific locations such as the United States, Puerto Rico, or Canada.

FedEx Express has upgraded its eCommerce service and is using a new feature that posts proof of delivery photos. The new system allows both the sender and recipient to see an image of the package when it is delivered.

According to Rakesh Shalia, vice president of marketing and communications for FedEx Express in Latin America and the Caribbean, the feature continues to work in specific locations. "Our customers in Latin America and the Caribbean can now have visual confirmation that their delivery was made to residential addresses in the United States, Puerto Rico or Canada."

The photo will show the delivery location, but will not display personal information, giving customers more confidence in delivery status and shipments. The service is available without a subscription, is free of charge and does not require registration.

"We are delighted to offer the new feature and bring greater peace of mind to merchants and consumers," said the executive.
