PORTS AND HIGHWAYS LEADED INVESTMENTS IN AUGUST WITH MORE THAN USD 13 MILLION

Terminals de Paita and Contenedores Sur del Callao together with Red Vial 4 mobilized more than USD 7 million.

The Supervisory Agency for Investment in Transportation Infrastructure for Public Use (OsitránOsitrán ), reported that valued investments in August reached USD 15.20 million, supported mainly by capital from port which totaled USD 7,204,718 million and roads with USD 6,264,591 million. 

PORTS 

The breakdown of figures indicates that, in port infrastructure, the Paita Terminal dynamized USD 2.93 million in stage 3 works indicated in the concession contract. Added to this is the New South Dock Container Terminal in Callao, which invested USD 2.19 million in August. 

The Multipurpose North Terminal of the Port of Callao mobilized USD 1.07 million; while the Salaverry Terminal (Trujillo) USD 1 million. 

Ositrán reported that so far in 2022 (January-August), the ports have invested USD 89.49 million, which represents an advance in their investment commitments of 63.7%. 

ROADS

The second sector that led the executed investments was that of highways, where the investments of Red Vial No. 4 (Pativilca-Puerto Salaverry) stood out, with USD 2.58 million in execution of new and complementary works of the concession contract. 

The IIRSA Norte highway (Paita-Yurimaguas) boosted USD 1.76 million in accessory works that are underway. IIRSA Sur Section 4 (Azángaro-Inambari) invested USD 1.09 million. 

Meanwhile, Red Vial No. 5 (Ancón-Huacho-Pativilca) mobilized USD 820,385 in the execution of complementary works. 

Between January and August 2022, the highways invested USD 106.29 million, which represents an advance in their investment commitments of 95.1%. 

OTHER SECTORS

Investments in airports totaled USD 1.81 million in August, supported mainly by capital from the Jorge Chávez International Airport with USD 1.75 million. While Line 2 of the Metro invested USD 238,396 in the same period.
